I'm here! Can't believe I'm old enough to be thinking about my 20-year reunion already...(*sigh*)...but it just might get me to take a trip back to Norwich, so keep me posted on the details. :-)
  2. Marc Funaro Says:
I know what you mean... but I guess the alternative to growing old is worse :) We hope you DO make it back up here... you're on the mailing list now, so you'll get the updates as they happen!
  3. AnnMarie (Campbell) Baker Says:
Hello everyone...thank you Marc for setting up the website. I have spoke to Joe about the upcoming reunion and I will be there. I live in Norwich and will be available to help with this in anyone that I can. Looking forward to seeing as many people as possible.
  4. Kelly Mirabito Luther Says:
Thanks goodness someone from our class took the lead to organize something for the reunion. I would be gald to help from a distance if I can. I look forward to it.
  5. Joe Yacano Says:
Thanks for organizing this event. If I can do anything please let me know. Look forward to seeing everyone.
  6. Scott Moon Says:
I went to last year's 19th but didn't see anyone, now that it's a year later maybe more people will show up.
  7. Joe Spence Says:
Hope a ton of you can make it. I hear Prime and Revoir are gonna do karaoke.
  8. STEVE PRIME Says:
hope all can make this it will be a good time. i sure hope joe and brusty will dance to tom and i's vocal talents
  9. Jim Taranto Says:
Lets get it on!!!!! Lets....Get it on.
  10. Joe Spence Says:
Jim Taranto will be the headline act at the reunion. He's now taking requests.
  11. Marc Funaro Says:
Okay... so everyone HAS followed the blog instructions to sign up for the mailing list, right? :)

Thanks for the kind words, everyone... this has been one of my more enjoyable projects over the past couple of months, and hopefully will persist beyond the reunion itself to keep us all in touch.

Or at least, continue on beyond Spence's death, when his kids become teenagers.
  12. Joe Spence Says:
I better keep having kids after all. Dammit. Otherwise, I've only got 12-13 years left.....
  13. Tom Revoir Says:
    Cant wait to see everyone.
  14. Joe Spence Says:
I didn't like Revoir and Prime 20 years ago, and I am glad to see that some things never change!
  15. Scott Moon Says:
So if things haven't changed, I take it Revoir is right? You are still hanging out with Brustowicz.

And by the way I thought the article the Evening Sun did on Greg last year was cool.
  16. Scott Moon Says:
So is Marc Funaro still jammin the guitar?
  17. Marc Funaro Says:
Hey Scott! I haven't been able to jam much lately (3 year old and 9 month old... need I say more? =) but I think I'm going to be able to pull the old axe out of the closet soon.
  18. steve prime Says:
it is nice to here from scott moon and jim taranto and marc funaro have not heard anything about them in a long time how has life been to you guys
  19. Scott Moon Says:
I miss read that last part of Spence. At first I thought it said "Otherwise it's a 12 pack and some chimps at Prime's house"
  20. Joe Spence Says:
Maybe it should say "chimps". Then if they are naughty, those monkeys can get spanked.

Spanking monkeys for fun...just another day in the life of Funaro, Prime, and Revoir.
  21. steve prime Says:
is there any to rsvp for the party on this site and to see has done so all ready if not can there be
  22. Joe Spence Says:
Steve, Mrs. Griz and Mr. Milner called.

They want to rescind those D-'s they gave you for writing class.

On the up side, someone calling themselves "Bubbles" called. Said you used to blow Bubbles in high school, and he'd love to hear from you again.
  23. Kevin Johnson Says:
It's obvious that many things haven't changed. Enjoying the humor, but all kidding aside....we need to get this gig planned. Willing to host a 1st get together to get the ball rollin. Headed for S.C. for spring break on 4/11, back on the 20th. Let's get together so called committee. Mooney/Taranto...How the hell are you guys. Been 20 years!
  24. Kevin Johnson Says:
Marc..Thanks for a great job on the website. Hopefully more will get it together and get in touch.
  25. Joe Spence Says:
    Yeah! What Jimmer said.

I suggest Fred's Inn that week after spring break. Kevin's house is out in another time zone! For the very first meeting I think a nice neutral place is cool, but meeting at Jimmer's is fine too.

I can't usually do Tuesday nights. Other than that I am good to go. Ann Marie, Greg Brustowicz, Steve, Marc, Kevin and I. Anyone else want in? Scott, do you think you can borrow Motley Crue's private jet to make it up?
  26. Kim (Boice) Martin Says:
Spence, why would you tell me to ignore Prime's comments about you. I never knew you were sweet on Greg!!
On the serious note, does anyone have any details other than 8/16? At our 5? year we had a get together on Friday night as well as events on Saturday. I am asking because I have a commitment on the 16th that will take an act of God to get out of. Just curious.
  27. steve prime Says:
kim yes we are planning on having something on friday nite just not sure where. we should have an idea in a few weeks thanks
you know all the stuff about joe comes from our heart him and greg are soul mates and they mean a lot to us
  28. Jim Taranto Says:
Some things will never change. I dont know what I'm doing THIS saturday night and Kims already booked up through to the end of August.
  29. Joe Spence Says:
Jim you should spend this Saturday booking a flight to get you here for the reunion. Southwest into Albany is a good bargain, since flights into Norwich International are usually booked solid.

We plan (and by plan, I mean we've probably thought about) an icebreaker Friday night, open day Saturday, late afternoon clambake/barbecue type thing raging into the night, and then descending on downtown or something after that. We're open to ideas and anyone who can attend meetings is welcome.
  30. Dawn Barnhart Says:

  31. Marc Funaro Says:
    Hi Everyone,

Just an update... we now have 14 addresses on the mailing list, so looks like things are going great there... try to reach as many people as you can!

To answer Steve's question above -- once we have our initial meeting, I should have an idea of what web apps we're going to need, including a web-based RSVP for any and all events associated with the reunion. The mailing lists should serve to keep everyone in contact, and decisions made in committee should be then posted on the blog here as well.

It's taken 20 years, but I think I might *actually* be looking forward to seeing all you schmucks!! Imagine that! ;)
  32. steve prime Says:
    marc thank for the info
  33. Tom Revoir Says:
    Mark,

Super job on this site. Cant wait to see everyone.

    Tom
  34. Tom Revoir Says:
Hey Scott you better be coming to the Reunion. P.S. Spence and Prime please dont make anymore derogatory comments on this web page as someone complained to the police and they came questioning me.

    Tom
  35. Dawn Barnhart Says:
i saw scott nichols in wally world last night and told him about this website. he will be letting muzzy know as they work together here in the norwich area. any help you need getting this together...count me in. hey marc, steve, or whomever...i cannot log onto classreunion.com because of my old email addy when i was with jeffrey (if y'all want jeffrey to know about all this...y'all will have to inform him). since i can't log on there, can you update me on details posted there? thanks...
  36. Michael Cleveland Says:
First of all I like to thank Mark for putting this website together. I heard about from Greg B.(along with the comments made). Second I glad to see classmates reply to it. well it's been alomst twenty years, let's see I don't have arthritis yet, I still have all my teeth and most of my hair. I Haven't been to jail but came close a few times, still living in Norwich and still riding Motorcycles(until the day I die.)I would like to know if anyone wants to get out on the golf course early on Aug 15th. let me know we can set up a schedule. Hey Moon give me a shout I still remember the old lady in the chair from your old backyard on Miller st. Prime good luck this year in LL baseball you didn't pick up my kids, so I have to cheer on the LL redsox. Man do you now how tough that is being that I'm a die hard Oriole fan. well good luck to all, and be safe and healthy so we can look forward to many more reunions.
  37. Marc Funaro Says:
    Hi Everyone,

It has come to my attention that perhaps a few of the posts here might have been unintentionally offensive to some recipients/readers within our class. I apologize for not jumping in sooner and moderating a bit more; having moderated many online groups in the past, I should have been a bit more diligent.

For now, I'm going to close out the ability to comment on this particular blog entry; Joe has removed the posts that may have been offensive.

For anyone that was offended... I feel very strongly that nobody meant any intentional mistreatment or harm, and that the little bit of sparring that went on was truly meant only in jest, between class members that are caught up in the excitement of being able to connect once again. If any apology is needed, I offer it here on behalf of anyone that's posted to date.

For further communication, please join the mailing list using the instructions in the blog post at the top, and send emails to class (at) norwich.88.com. We'll be sure to keep the conversation as civil and lighthearted as we drift towards our reunion date -- where we can all give each other some good ribbing in person, with the added benefit of visual cues that let us know it's "all in good fun".

Thanks again everyone for dropping in... if you have trouble joining or sending to the official mailing list, please feel free to contact me directly.

    -- Marc
